Recital Policies
Costume Deposits of $55 per costume are due by December 15, 2007. Balances will be billed in March, 2008.
Costume fees are non-refundable after December 15, 2007.
Costume fees not collected by December 15, 2007 will be $80.00 per costume.
Recital fee of $35 per child will be due in March, 2008. This fee covers the expense of the recital.
Recital fees not received by March 31, 2008 will be $45 per child.

Wizard of Oz 2008

Recital pictures: April 18, 2008 and May 2, 2008 at DMAD. Burlsworth Photography will be taking the pictures. See schedule. Please be on time so we can do a group picture first. We ran ahead of schedule last year.

Matinee Recital Run Through, Tuesday, May 27, 2008. We will start at 5:45 p.m. at the Harrison High School Auditorium. Wear dance clothes, not your costume. Please do not leave your child unattended. We will not be able to watch them when they are not on the stage. Run through is for staging purposes. You may sit in the auditorium and watch, but please be very quiet. Attached you will find a schedule when your dancer will practice. Please be very patient. We will try to get to you as soon as we can.

Evening Recital Run Through, Wednesday, May 28, 2008. We will start at 5:45 p.m. at the Harrison High School Auditorium. Wear dance clothes, not your costume. Dress rehearsal is just like the performance, we will run beginning to end with the finale being first so that when you finish your last dance you may leave.

Evening Dress Rehearsal: Friday, May 30, 2008 at Harrison High school Auditorium. We will begin at 6:00. Be there dressed in first costume by 5:30. Once again, do not leave children unattended. Please be patient. We will get you home as soon as we can. No dancers allowed in audience. Matinee performance, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Harrison High School Auditorium. Matinee starts at 2:00 p.m. Be there dressed in first costume by 1:30 p.m. Do not go through auditorium in your costume, please go through the hall to get to your dressing room. Warm up at 12:00 for 4th grade and up.

Evening performance, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Harrison High School Auditorium. Evening performance starts at 6:30. Be there dressed in first costume by 6:00 p.m. Do not go through the auditorium in your costume, please go through the hall to get to your dressing room.

Dressing rooms: Please be aware the Harrison High School has cameras in all of the hallways, band and choir rooms. We will use the choir room , agri room. The choir room will be used by the preschool and K & 1st grade. The Agri room classrooms will be used by the 2nd/3rd and Beginning Hip Hop. The Large Agri area will be used by the 4th 5th 6th grade and Hip Hop. The Advanced classes will use the hallway. You may bring something for your child to change in, (tent, blanket, etc.) Please only one tent per area. Please sign the dressing room form and return to dance school. (See Attached)

Reception: The auxiliary will be having a reception for Matinee and Evening performance.

Crawdad Days: May 17, 2008 be there at 9:30. We will start at 10:00. We dance on the playground side of the park. Meet at the little stage on the playground side. Please see schedule. If you perform at Crawdad Days you must purchase a recital t-shirt.

Recital T-shirts: We will be selling recital T-Shirts from now until April 17, 2008. Cost of T-Shirt is $15.00 each. You must purchase a t-shirt to perform at Crawdad Days. We will not wear our recital costumes!

Recital Videos: Acentric Video from Commerce City, Colorado will sell recital videos. Please make your check payable to Acentric Video. Deadline to order is May 17, 2008. See attached form

Cover Girl Contest: Deadline for our Cover Girl Ad for program will be April 24, 2008. If you would like to order an ad for your little dancer, please do so before April 24, 2008.

Rules for recital

1. Make-up includes: Blush, Mascara, Eye Shadow, Eyeliner and Lipstick. Use a lip pencil on children. Make sure your lipstick and blush does not blend in with your skin tones.

2. No jewelry. No nail polish

3. No underwear under your costume.

4. No gum chewing

5. No eating or drinking in your costume, drink water if you have to drink.

6. No strings hanging out of ballet shoes. No satin ballet slippers.

7. All students must stay in their assigned dressing rooms. No one in costume is allowed in the audience.

8. No eating or drinking allowed in the facility. Please go into the commons area.

9. Put your name in every item.

10. Bring: Safety pins, needle, thread, band-aid, bobby pins, hair pins, hair net, hair spray.

11. Activities for younger children, blankets for them to set on. TV/VCR. Please no markers.

12. Black Elastic in black tap shoes.

13. 2 parents with class at all times.

14. Check out lost and found.

15. All tuition and outstanding fees must be paid by May 7, 2008 to be allowed to participate in the recital.

16. No men allowed in dressing rooms

17. Be very quiet and patient back stage.

18. Be very respectful to stage crew.

19. Smile you will enjoy the performance.
